Cassie Angelis is a ritual abstractionist whose practice fuses the spiritual, the abstract, and the technological into a unified creative language. At the intersection of visionary art and advanced tools, she works from a state of heightened perception — akin to Wassily Kandinsky’s “inner necessity” and the synesthetic mysticism of early modern abstraction. Guided by extrasensory intuition, Angelis transforms emotional–visual impressions into artworks that exist as living abstract forms, bridging inner vision with contemporary digital creation.
Each of Cassie Angelis’s artworks is a vessel — not merely a painting, nor a digital artefact, but a living abstract form. Her practice moves through a fivefold alchemy: the first spark of spirit writing, the dream-weaving of AI generation, the embodied devotion of painting, the metamorphic passage of morphing, and the final mandala — a radiant seal of image, sound, and intent. This closing form is not an ending, but an opening: a meditative interface designed to attune the viewer’s own extra-sensory perception and invite them into the abstract world from which the work was born. In this continuum of psychic reception, manual abstraction, and sonic healing, Angelis unveils an original feminist semiotics for the digital age.
Through her synaesthetic perception, Angelis experiences emotions as colours and sensations, translating these inner visions into fragments of spirit writing. Each phrase becomes a coded impression of feeling, carrying both texture and hue. These writings are then transformed into prompts for AI, generating digital seed images that echo her psychic perceptions. The seeds emerge as abstract reflections of her inner states — fluid, symbolic sketches that open a dialogue between intuition and technology. They mark the first stage of transformation, bridging the immaterial world of sensation with the visible forms that will later unfold on canvas.
From her digital seeds, Angelis paints the emergent forms in gestural layers of acrylic, translating psychic impressions into physical matter. Each painting becomes an embodied ritual of transformation — a dialogue between spirit and surface, instinct and intention.
These paintings are later reimagined through digital merging with their original AI seed — creating a hybridised iconography suspended between the virtual and the physical, the subconscious and the synthetic. In this, Angelis echoes the post-symbolist tradition of Gustav Klimt, but replaces the ornamental with the code-transcendent.
Her final transformation renders each hybrid painting into an AI-generated digital mandala, layered with targeted sonic frequencies (such as 528Hz for cellular healing or 396Hz for emotional release), creating an immersive multisensory experience. These mandalas function as contemporary talismans, grounded in Carl Jung’s theory of the mandala as psychic totality and reimagined through the lens of technofeminist ritual.
Cassie Angelis is a founding oracle of Venus Creo Gallery — a conceptual artwork in its own right, where exhibitions are staged as layered performances of image, myth, and technology. At times a theatre, at times a temple, the gallery embodies the metaphysical framework of Alter Aphroditism, a living feminist manifesto that reclaims art as a vital interface between image, invocation, and psychic reprogramming. Angelis creates abstract works through a five-part process fusing spirit writing, AI generation, painting, morphing, and mandala creation — culminating in immersive, multisensory experiences designed to heighten extra-sensory perception. Through this layered practice, she merges the spiritual, the artistic, and the technological into a unified act of creation.
